Yesterday afternoon, at the Flagship Store of Motos Bordoy on Calle Balmes 186, KOVE held an emotional event to share the excellent results achieved in competition during 2024 and to rev up for the upcoming Dakar 2025.

The event, moderated by RTVE presenter Marc Martín, was attended by WSBK-SSP 300 team riders Marc García and Julio García, along with Javi Vega, who has recently joined the KOVE team as a rider for Dakar 2025 (in the "Original Motul" category) and as the brand’s new ambassador in Spain.

KOVE AND MOTOS BORDOY: A PARTNERSHIP MADE BY MOTORCYCLISTS FOR MOTORCYCLISTS

According to Alessandro Bifano, Marketing Director of the Motos Bordoy Group (exclusive importer of KOVE in Spain and Portugal), when the paths of Motos Bordoy and KOVE crossed, it was "love at first sight. We speak the same language. Passionate people like us who live motorcycles with true enthusiasm. KOVE has a unique identity, and its achievements both in competition and in the market are the clearest manifestation of this way of thinking. We are united by the brand's philosophy. At KOVE, just like at Motos Bordoy, everything is designed by motorcyclists, for motorcyclists."

KOVE: FOCUS ON PERFORMANCE

For KOVE, competition is the best environment for development and improvement. The experience in the various Rallies in which it participates, including the toughest in the world, the Dakar, as well as the history in the SSP 300 category of the World SBK, continue to inspire and teach the KOVE R&D team, whose improvements are then made available to the end customers.

At the event, attendees had the opportunity to see firsthand the new models that KOVE presented at EICMA, the 250RR and the 800X Rally, alongside the Dakar and SSP300 bikes.

This is the result of continuous development and improvement, which materializes through the combined efforts of the technical team, the riders, and the brand's sponsors. All of this is summarized in KOVE's slogan, "Focus on performance."

KOVE RACING: TRACK RECORD 2024

In its debut at the DAKAR 2023, KOVE had already impressed by finishing the world's toughest rally with three bikes and three riders. An exceptional result, considering the demands of the race and the young age of the brand, which had only started its journey just 6 years earlier.
KOVE’s performance in 2024 has been the perfect continuation of that strong start.

March: WSBK - SSP 300 (Barcelona). Podium: Second position.

July: WSBK - SSP 300 (Most). Podium: Second position.

August: WSBK - SSP 300 (Algarve). Podium: Two third-place finishes.

September: WSBK - SSP 300 (Aragon). Podium: Second position.

October: WSBK - SSP 300 (Jerez). Podium: First, Second, and Third positions.

November: RALLY ADDAX. Victory by Javi Vega.

Javi Vega, who has recently joined the KOVE team as a rider for Dakar 2025 (in the "Original Motul" category) and as an ambassador for KOVE Spain, made an impressive debut with a victory at the Rally of Tunisia. Here’s what he had to say about his first competition experience with KOVE:
"The KOVE 450 Rally is incredible in terms of handling and weight. It feels like riding my usual motocross bike. Plus, it is constantly being developed in all its components, and this continuous improvement is what will make us winners."

Regarding his new chapter with KOVE, he added:
"I needed new motivation, a fresh start, and KOVE has been the perfect opportunity. This year my goal at the Dakar is to bond with the bike and the team. KOVE bikes are in constant development and have huge potential, they can even win the Dakar, but the Dakar is like a shark—you can swim with it, but you can’t trust it."

The WSBK KOVE Racing riders have also had the opportunity to share their remarkable journey in the demanding SSP 300 category with KOVE.
Marc García, the first rider to win the WSBK-SSP 300 in 2017, emphasized:
"I’m really excited to work on a project that feels like my own. SSP 300 is a complex category, and there’s a lot of parity. One lap you might be in first place, and by the end of the lap, you're in tenth. But we will always fight to win."

"The possibility of the title in 2025 is real, although it depends on many factors. But the significant evolution the bike is undergoing, thanks to the efforts of the Technical Team, gives us confidence to be ambitious and pursue victory," added Julio García.

KOVE, which became the first Chinese brand in the WSBK SSP 300 category in 2023, has achieved truly exceptional results in its second season: 8 podiums, 3 fastest laps, 1 Superpole, and most importantly, third place in the constructors' standings.
